Too Hot, brain melting….
It's too damn hot!!!! *turns on fans*
Got a lot accomplished yesterday. Finished part 4 of SoC, it will be off to beta soon. Started work on the Buffy/Xander thing, which is really nibbling at my brain. Then I realized that first person wasn't working, especially if I want to use dialogue. Was watching a certain episode yesterday, hubby at the computer and he said ” I see you're gonna write it so that mumble mumble happens, aren't you?” Scary how well he knows me.
Off to keep cool, everyone do the same.

*yawn* That's what I get for staying up past 2 RPing. *drinks coffee*
Tried to get some writing done, but the muse was being uncooperative. Got one scene for SoC written, couldn't go much past that. But on the bright side after Buffy watching and getting to the pivital episode, I know how my Buffy/Xander is going to go! Yay plot!!! Another bright side was I sent the first three parts of SoC to my yahoo groups and have been getting really good feedback. I even got one of the best compliments (which I share because it relates to my beta goddess.)
So for today, watching the final episodes of the season in question for my Buffy/Xander piece, writing possibly more of part four if the muse behaves and whatever else catches my fancy. Oh, also possible changing of my mood theme and subtitle, and continued looking for a Spike/Xander icon. Have a good Sunday all.

Spoilers for SG1 and SGA episodes 10.3 and 3.3 respectively. (I have trouble remembering episode names!) Under a cut they go.
SGA: Not the best episode ever. But they can't all be winners. The team is looking for deserted gates to make a gate bridge back to Earth, thus reducing the strain on the ZPM and not having to rely on the Daedelus as much. They encounter this strange man on a planet, Lucius. He wants to trade, but John refuses and promises to send Carson to look at his medicines. Carson is sayed by the mans charms. Poor Carson, why is it always him? Anyway he brings Lucius to Atlantis and soon Lucius has everyone under his spell, save for Rodney and John who have been out scouting for gates. They think something is up. Rodney says it reminds him of an episode of Batman. They debate Catwoman, Julie vs. Eartha. Geek love!!! (probably the best part of the episode). They discover Lucius is taking a potion, John goes back to the planet to get more for study only to find the people sick. When he gets back, Rodney is under the spell too. He kidnaps Carson and they figure out something before they are recaptured. turns out its this herb that makes Lucius secrete a hormone that stimulates happy feelings. We see Carson giving Lucius a shot (the ATA gene, supposedly), but it's revealed it was a serum to stop the production of the herb. John returns Lucius to his planet, with the serum and everything is okay again. Like I said, not the best episode.
Injury update, WTF?
Okay so there are some seriously weird things going on.
We got notice yesterday that Goodwill filed not only in Montgomery County (where their main office is) but in Greene County Court (where the store I worked at is) too. Called lawyers, they said come in we need to talk about what's going on. The woman I talked to wasn't sure how it affected the court date on the third.
Well today I got a letter from BWC. Apparently when Goodlwill filed in court they were not just suing me, but suing BWC saying they were wrong in allowing my claim. The letter from BWC said they were allowing the adjusted claim. This means they are allowing the tear of my cartelidge to be made a part of my injury, which means I could have surgery soon. They did this not 24 hours after recieving notice about the court filing.
I have no idea what any of it means. I have to call the lawyer on Monday but I'm willing to bet this means no hearing on the third. What it means for the other stuff, I couldn't say. But I consider it a step in the right direction.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
Sphere: Related ContentMorning, I think
Plans for today: More Buffy watching, writing, Stargate watching (my boys!), other than that I really don't know. Oh, and I've decided I need a Spike/Xander icon, must go look for one.
So I posted my Buffy/Xander angsty piece. Did anyone read it? Feedback is love. I know it's not my usually pairing, but I would love to read opinions on it. It also represents a kind of first for me. It has no dialogue. I've never done this other than in drabbles. (Okay that's a bit of a lie, I have a fic I wrote before this that also has no dialogue, but I'm waiting to send it to beta!) Please read it and let me know what you think, I really like it and will be writing more Buffy/Xander soon.
In other writing news, I couldn't sleep last night so I got back up and started the Core Four thing. Not much, but it's a start. I have ideas of how things will work out, unfold as it were. I'm also trying to put in more details. Writing SoC has made me realize that I need more detail in my writing, All my first drafts seem to be very general lacking in the little details that I usually love in other people's stories. I think part of it is the fear of getting too detailed and having the story spiral into flowery prose. Something to work on, that's for sure.
And for those that care, RPG news. In
empty_run, stubborn!Wes has turned into awkward!Wes and Buffy still doesn't know what to do with him. In
breathe_x_again, crazy!Wes and Buffy are still not sure what to make of each other, continuing to make surprising discoveries about each other. In
sunnydalegothic, Buffy was waiting impatiently for Xander and Wes to show up, now they have, let the spell commence. And in
chosennomore Xander asked, Buffy said yes, they're headed back to London with really good news but not before they've made a stop and ran into a really interesting old woman.
That is all. Have a good weekend everyone!
Sphere: Related ContentBunnies!!! *runs away screaming*
Today has been an odd day. Started out watching two more episodes of Buffy, and totally not having bunnies about anything. No really, I'm not. *innocent eyes* Then I had to take hubby to go get his meds, that was an exercise in frustration. I can tell he's getting better, he was grumpy. When he's really sick he can't care enough for any emotion. Then a trip to the library to print out tax stuff that the city says they never got. Lucky all we owed them was the $25 late fee.
Then back home and more watching of Buffy. And more of not getting bunnies, especially not for a totally new pairing. Nope not me, I have enough to work on already. *lies like a rug* Then onto 'puter after a bit of moodiness, totally listening to angsty music, which prompted the writing of an angsty Buffy/Xander piece, which may or may not get to my beta goddess (worships
antennapedia) before I post it.
Am feeling better now and may drag out Part 4 of SoC or even possible may start work on the Core Four thing. Depends on the muse. Right now I'm off to make food. Deep fried burritos, yum!
Hope everyone had a great Friday!
Sphere: Related ContentMy day didn't go as planned, again
So much for the doctor's appointment. *sigh* Hubby was feeling bad all last night and woke up with a fever. So off to the ER with us. They gave him fluids, took some blood and told him it was the flu. Oh joy. So they wrote scripts for naproxen and something for nausea, more joy. So we didn't get home til about 12:30. He took a bath and then I bundled him off to bed where he is now. I will be forcing more fluids onto him shortly.
So I didn't get to Buffy watching until then. I've only watched the first four episodes. I'd forgotten how much I love this season! I'm thinking I will start the story from where I originally wanted to, but will keep watching the early episodes becasue they can give me great insights into what happens later and how Buffy and Xander react to everything and how that will inform their possible relationship. On a side note to that, I give you this link to Nick Brendon's audioblog, listen to the recent entry. He's so adorkable!
And for the Stargate fans on my flist, I offer 213 Things Skippy Can't Do at the SGC. Warning: possible spoilers for all of the seasons of SG1. But it's hilarious!
Hope everyone had a better Thursday than I did!
Sphere: Related ContentOne last post for the day (and GIP!)
I will probably not be on until late tomorrow. I have an early docotors appointment (that's been rescheduled 3 times already!) and when I get home I'm planning on pulling out shiny Buffy DVDs and watching in surround! There is an alterior motive for this, see below.
I did mangage a bit of writing today. Started on part 4 of SoC. But then that's when my bit of drama happened and the muse was scared off. And there was a cat in the middle of my desk, preventing me from writing (more in a bit). I did do a very basic outline of the Core Four story I had bunnies for and yes there will most likely be smut. So all my C4 cheerleaders, break out the pom poms soon! The Buffy watching is for my Buffy/Xander story and season rewrite *headdesk*.There will be copious note taking, I'm sure. My muse is a twisted little creature. But yay for Buffy in surround sound and for Joss commentary!
Today my cat, Garf decided to park himself in the middle of my desk and lean on my writing arm. I went with it because I needed the company and he's not normally a loving kitty. Then later he decided to plop himself on my monitor. WTF? For about a month not one of the cats has gone near my monitor. It might have soemthing to do with the small menagerie I have up there now. I have Hong Kong Phooey, the Pets.com sockpuppet, my plotbunny, Mr. Peabody and Natasha from the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. But today, Garf just plopped himself down in the middle of them and went to sleep. Hubby took a pic and as soon as I get all the software to upload from my digital camera onto my 'puter, I will share.
Finally some minor pimping before I turn in for the night. Check out
buffyxander, a new comm for us Bander 'shippers. Spread the word, there had to more than 4 of us out there! Also check out my earlier post here about my lovely and talented co-author
fiareynne. She is made of awesome and I love her to death! (She also made the lovely icon I'm using!)
I hope the rain means it will be cooler tomorrow. I'll see you all tomorrow.

I just got a notice in the mail telling me that Goodwill is appealing the decision to allow my claim made way back in April. They appealed in May but were rejected by the Industrail Commission. This was a notice filed with the Court of Common Pleas. I have no idea what this means or how it affects the hearing on the 3rd. I jsut can't believe that they are allowed to appeal this after so much time has passed. I had heard rumors that Ohio was the worst state to get hurt in, I'm now experiencing it first hand. I've put in a call to my lawyers, but the paralegal is out for the day, so I won't know anything until at elast tomorrow.
There are times that I want to say fuck it all, but I know that's not the right thing to do. I just have to be patient and let things work themselves out. I have to trust that the truth will win and I will be okay in the end.
I continue to thank Fate or whatever higher power led me to all you wonderful people. In times like these I can depend on you to be there for me and offer support. I really don't know what I would do without you.
*hugs flist tight*
