Yeah right

Well about a week ago, Goodwill decided to appeal the order to pay me again. Big surprise. Well hubby went to the BWC site this morning and found out there is a hearing scheduled. guess which day?

That's right, day of my surgery, 45 minutes beofer it is scheudled to begin. *laughs* Called lawyers, paralegal said she'd get it continued. Bad thing is, no payment until I win. Which I will. But no worries, holiday cards will still go out.

CATS!

Last night I went to see CATS! *dances* My sister took me as an ealry Christmas present. I'd seen in before, way back when I was in middle school, in London. This performance was awesome! Our seats were great and the musical was just as good as I remembered. It wasn't quite the same as in London, but that's one of those once in a lifetime things you'll always remember. Both my sister and I have vowed that we need to go again and sit closer, like orchestra seating (we sat in the balcony this time) because the 'cats' come into the audience, which is way cool. So now I'm sitting here and singing the songs to myself. I think I need to go download the soundtrack.

Being Thankful

Because tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a list of what I am thankful for this year.

1. Writing. Rediscovering my muse after a prolonged abscence has meant so much to me this year. Writing has given me an outlet, led me to friendships and brought joy to my life.

2. RPGs. This aspect of fandom had given me new ways of enjoying the characters I love, helped me expand my love of characters, brought me friends, laughter and most of all, fun.

3. Fandom. Discovering the communites here on LiveJournal, discussing my shows with other people who love them as much as I do, I am so thankful for that. And more than the comms, it's the people. Every single one of you on my flist has been a welcome addition to my life. Thank you for being there when I needed a friendly ear, a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold. *hugs* Maybe one day those can be in person, not just over the internet.

Musings

, I had a mini plot bunny and started a small ficlet for your birthday, which I know is coming up. I think you'll appreciate it.

Got my

assignment. I can choose either the Angel or Angelus prompts. Strangely I think I do more justice to the Angelus, I just need to let the idea stew for a few more days.

My son had a follow up appointment today. He's gained three more pounds since the last visit. The doctors also suggested making an appointment with a specialist to see if he has asthma or not. They prescribed him a daily inhaler just in case.

Other than that, life goes on. Nothing much else going on here. Looking forward to overindulging myself on Thursday. Have a good Tuesday all.

Success!

So my plan for this morning was to do laundry and try and write while waiting on my mother's ancient dryer/. It worked out well. Despite the fact that my son, husband and mother were all in the general vicinity, I somehow managed to write the sex scene for my CYA story. After that everything else just flowed wonderfully. *happy dances*  

I got to a point where I'm *this* close to being finished. Unfortunately my muse fled again. But I'm not too worried. I'm going to let what I wrote sit a while before attempting to pick it up again. A little more in my current scene and at least one more scene, maybe two and the story will be finished. I felt so confident that I went ahead and signed up for the Angel round of

, which is due two days after CYA.

So what??

Now unless you've been in a basement or in a coma for the last week or so, you've undoubtedly heard the hype about today's Ohio State vs. Michagan game (which OSU won, in case you care). I know as a resident of OH, I have. 

So what? Just because I'm a resident of the state does not mean I automatically support the biggest college team in the state. Nope. My blood runs blue and gold, Notre Dame blue and gold that is.  I stayed away from the tv, the newspaper and just about any mention of the game. I just don't care. I only know the score because I was checking on my team. Tomorrow will be all about the win and analyzing OSU's chance at the championship. I just shrug my shoulders and turn away. I will be glad when January is over and I can go about my day without seeing anything about the Buckeyes.

_{Now of course if it had been an undefeated ND vs. someone, I'd be singins a different tune. Why, yes, I am a hypocrit. Get over it.}
