So Brad and I went out today to find me new shoes for work and other things. We stopped into Circuit City and on one of the televisions, they were playing the Stargate movie. So we sat on the chairs provided and watched like the last seven mintes. I turned to Brad and said; “I know they're not MY Jack and Daniel, but somehow, still gay.”

Weird Al ROCKED!!!!

I'm glad we were in 'nosebleed' seats (it was an outdoor concert), because man it was loud, but totally and utterly AWESOME. Made of win!

He played some new stuff but also plenty of the older stuff. And the even did a new verse for “Headline News” about Paris Hilton. ROTFL! I've never laughed so hard, sung so much or had so much fun! If he ever comes back, I will have to go see him again!

John Sheppard Action Figure

i'm not sure how or why I went looking for this and I'm not entirely convinced that it looks like John/Joe, but what amuses me is that they got the hair and the smirk just about perfect. My only question, where's the Rodney McKay action figure?

Brain Dead (Please send help!)

Yeah, RL has been a bit of a bummer, work is killing me. I worked yesterday night then had to turn around and work this morning. It's not unusual in retail, but it just sucks. I came home and napped for like two hours just to catch up on sleep. When I got up, I was hoping to write, but my brain was too fried.

I have a lot going on, story wise. I have two finished pieces for

, stalled on the third. I have two parts of two WIPs at beta, and a third different story with a different beta. I'm trying to work on a sequel to Oops, which I was thinking would be porny (because

convinced me that I should write girl!Jack/Daniel sex), but it isn't going anywhere. I'm also contemplating a sequel to Old Friends, with more of a shippy leaning to it.

I think all I need is a little nudge. The spark of something to interest the muse. So I'm asking for prompts. I have three different prompt tables I'm working on (Buffy/Giles for

, Buffy for

and Jack/Daniel for

), so you can pick  a prompt from those (links to tables in my links list). Or give me a propmt and a pairing/character and I'll see what I can do.

I think by now everyone knows what I write, but just in case: Buffy/Giles, Buffy/Xander, Buffy/Wesley, Giles/Xander, Giles/Wesley, Angel/Wesley, Jack/Daniel, John/Rodney, Core Four (B/G/X/W), and I'm willing to attempt Spike in limited pairings, Buffy/Oz or anything gen involving other Stargate characters.

So, hit me!

Stargate SG-1 : A Fond Farewell

Tonight Sci-Fi will be airing “Unending”, the very last SG-1 episode, ever. I've already seen it and have commented on it here.  I'm still trying to decide if I want to rewatch it before I go to work tonight. But either way, it's the end of an era.

I came late to the SG-1 party. I saw the movie and loved it, but didn't get around to watching the show unitl a couple of years ago, around the middle of season eight. My husband and I caught up on all eight seasons over a summer.

I was interested because of Richard Dean Anderson, who I loved as MacGuyver. I fell head over heels in love with Jack O'Neill.

I adored James Spader as Daniel, but he was soon replaced in my heart by Michael Shanks. He's my Doctor Jackson.

I admire Sam Carter and what Amanda Tapping brought to the screen. I'm sorry the writer's didn't know how to write a strong female. (Where's Whedon when you need him?)

I identified with Teal'c the outsider, his struggle to fit in and his unwavering devotion to his cause. Chris Judge just makes me smile.

I will miss George, Walter, Siler, Ba'al, the Tok'ra, the Asgard and all the various characters who came into my life via the 'gate.

While there is still Stargate: Atlantis and my ever growing love for that show (Carson! John and Rodney! Zelenka! Lorne!),  it's just not the same.  There are still the movies to come, but nothing will compare to having a new SG-1 to look forward to every week.

At least I still have my DVDs, so I can delve into that world whenever I want. And there's always fanfiction, where the 'gate never shuts down and the characters live on, hopefully happily ever after.
