We had an appointment this morning about receiving cash assisstance from the state since I'm not working. But to get the assisstance for not working, what do I have to do? Work. I have to like 24 hours a week somewhere, the first place the caseworker offered was Goodwill. It took all my strength not to laugh in her face. Instead I get to go out to Dayton for 24 hrs a week to do some job training thing where they'll supposedly help me with resume stuff and what have you, but I'll believe it when I see it. At least they'll be providing me with a $45 check to cover gas expenses, so that's something. 

I'm at a turning point again. I want to go back to school, but the graduate school is out for the moment. Because the last time I was there, some wacky thing with my grades happened and apparently those don't disappear, so I have to reapply to grad school as a non-degree student, take some classes to up my GPA and then reapply as a degree student. Only thing, I would have to pay for those classes out of pocket, which I can't do at the moment. *sigh*

I did go out to my alma mater (Wright State University) to get some help with my resume yesterday. The woman looked at it and saw I spoke a very limited amount of ASL. I mentioned maybe going back and updating my skills in that area. She said if I was interested there was a lot of money in interpretting. Alas, that also means going back to school and we're back to the money issue again. But the local Job Center sent something out about maybe paying for classes and books, so I may look into that and see where that goes.

I just feel a little lost right now and hope that I can find my way soon because I know I don't want to be stuck in retail for the rest of my life.
