Job news

Well I went in and did the drug test and paperwork so unless something gets fucked up there, I probably have a job.

I know I shouldn't complain because money is money and God knows we need it, but it's not exactly the job of my dreams.

It's packing auto parts for Honda. 2nd shift (4:30-midnight). So that's standing for an entire shift (which is kinda  what I did at K-mart, but I did some walking there.)

It's temp to hire, but I'm told they pretty much hire everyone. It starts at $8 an hour, goes to $8.50 plus benefits.

The only joy is I can look for something better during the day.

I guess I just have to suck it up and work cause there really aren't that many other prospects out there at the moment. *sigh* I just don't have to like it.

Stalling on my sgabigbang fic

I'm totally putting off writing the big first date dinner scene by having Rodney give Carson fashion advice…over the radio.

*headdesk*

Unrelated, I'm OMG so glad it's the last day of spring break. Does that make me a bad mom?

BSG Season Three thoughts

I ship Bill Adama/Laura Roslin so hard. I love that it's not just the younger pretty things that are getting the love. The writers are giving an older couple a fun, sweet relationship and I adore it so damn much.

I laughed so hard when Baltar found out he wasn't a Cylon. Poor deluded thing.

I *heart* the Chief (as evidenced by my icon). I've known for six months about his fate (damned spoilers), that he was a Cylon, and it still didn't stop me from loving him. Especially his relationship with Cally. *draws big sparkly hearts around him*

Now the identity of the other three Cylons? Complete surprise.

I kind of want to slash Jack/Seth from Kitchen Confidential.

And not just for the pretty.

But Bradley Cooper needs to be back on my TV.  SOON.

There may be news on the job front… it's a case of wait and see at the moment.

Yesterday was very productive, three stories posted with good feedback. And the consensus seems to be that people want to see more of the Wes/Cordy AU with them on their road trip. I'll see what the muse comes up with.

I am also feeling very proud that I broke the 4000 word mark on my sgabigbang story. Currently I'm at 4291. Now I just have to do that ten more times and I'm in business. Speaking of, anyone know of a good word count meter/widget that I can put on my LJ userinfo page just for myself?

That's about all for now.

American Idol: The Top Ten

Here we go!

Ramiele-It's a good choice for her, but going into the chorus, she doesn't *quite* have the push she needs. And knowing she's sick, she gets even more credit.

Jason-singing Sting and working the guitar. Very nice, very nice, I love him but I think Simon is right, he does need to take this a little more seriously.

Syesha-taking on the awesome Gladys Knight. But playing it safe, especially after last week.

Chickezie-took a chance by singing Luthor Vandross, but like Simon said, lacked originality. Where's the Chickezie who rocked out on Lennon/McCartney night?

Brooke-Despite a minor mess up at the beginning, it's quickly forgotten as she puts her own stamp on “Every Breath You Take”. I love Brooke and what she does here.

Micheal-taking on Queen, in parts it feels like he's screaming rather than singing, but I think he puts his heart into it and makes it work.

Carly-starts out strong but kinds of loses it in the middle for me. I like Carly but I somehow think this was the wrong song for her.

David Archuleta-Pass the brain bleach please!!! OMG, that was AWFUL!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me while I go puke in the corner.

Kristy-I like it much better than the original. Possibly the best performance she's given.

David Cook-I am liking his original takes on these songs more and more. I would definately buy his album. I kind of hope he doesn't win so he can make the kind of album he wants  and not one the studio wants.

I hate my brain

Not only do I have the Wesley fics in there, I also have snippets of dialog for the Core Four fic I owe

for updating my site, PLUS while trying to get to sleep last night, I figured out where “Chemistry” (Willow/Riley) needs to go next. On top of that I have my remix story to worry over and the constant tug of my sgabigbang story and I was sorely tempted to sign up for the Giles/Xander ficathon (but I didn't!!).

Help???

Wesley prompts

Just a quick update on how they are going, I want to write them all first, then type them up and post them in on big Watcher-loving-moment of glee.

- yours is finished and hopefully funny.

- yours is close to being done. I just need to Wes to screw up his courage to what needs to be done.

- the basic outline for yours is circling in the back of my brain and it's up next.

I may be totally obsessed with the pictures here and here. (Seth Green and Sarah Michelle Gellar at the Paley Festival).  Especially the third one in the first post. It may be my new desktop wallpaper. *cough*
