Okay, so I’ve only been actively watching Idol for three seasons now. I know that there is blatant manipulation going on. Last season I was somewhat okay with it. I was just so very glad that America didn’t buy into the judges fanboying/fangirlling over Archuleta. Cook was the better singer, better performer and deserved that win. I don’t think I’ll ever have that experience again. Read more

NBC is on my shit list right now.
First they delay the announcement of whether or not Chuck gets a third season until the 19th.
And now, according to Michael Ausiello’s Twitter, they’ve canceled Life. *shakes fist*
Dammit, Life, Chuck and Heroes are all I watch on NBC. There’d better be good news about Chuck on the 19th.

Telemarketers, the bane of telephones everywhere. I understand they’re only doing their jobs, but I dislike them with a passion.
Now I try to be as polite as possible when dealing with them. I tell them “No Thank You” and ask them to take our name off their list. The Do Not Call List has helped some. But still some persist and that gets me bitchy. And I know that there’s a law out there saying when they’re allowed to call. Isn’t the latest 8pm or has it changed?
I ask because we had late calls the last two days. Wednesday night one called just after nine and I said don’t call, it was after 9, etc and hung up. Well last night was worse. Woman called right after nine. I said after nine, mentioned the law, said not to call this late and hung up. Less than two minutes later, she calls back. This time I really get angry. I tell her if she calls again I’ll be asking for her supervisor, mention the law again and hang up. Then FIVE minutes later another call. I tell myself I’ll go nuclear if it’s the same woman. It’s a guy this time. I mention the law and the time and he goes “Well it’s 6 where I am” and I tell him to learn time zones, hanging up.
If I get another call tonight, I’m immediately asking for their name and to talk to a supervisor.
