So, Brad Wright wrote this. My disgust with him has lessened by a minute fraction but only because he gave us 47 minutes of fanservice (with like 20 seconds of WTF???? at the end there which I am going to totally ignore as is my perogative).
I was near tears the entire time. So much love for Ronon and Team and Teyla being all mama bear, but mostly love for my boys. I dare anyone, ANYONE to watch that episode and tell me that what John and Rodney have is mere friendship. What they have is so MUCH MORE. (Like Jack and Daniel before them). And a lot of us interpret that as love.
David Hewlett, how are you so AWESOME. If this were a fair and just world, and the entertainment business did not eschew Sci-Fi like it does, you would SOOOOOOOOO win the Emmy for that performance. You’ve already won my heart, but you definitely earned my respect for you as an actor with this episode.
So, may I just repeat: Team!!!! BOYS!!!!!!!! RODNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
